Q: Describe the path that brought you to the landscaping industry?
A: I’m the youngest of seven. Two of my brothers started a landscape company in the late 80s. They got out of it but I’ve been doing this since 1989.

 

Q: What brought you to Outerland?
A: It’s just a good company to work for, it’s a good environment. I love the people I work with and there’s a lot of movement and potential with the new brand.

 

Q: What do you tell your friends you do for work?
A: Honestly? Dig holes.

 

Q: What is your favorite part of the job?
A: Installing sprinkler systems.

 

Q: What do you find most challenging about your job?
A: Employees

 

Q: What’s one thing people might not know or expect about your job?
A: The knowledge it takes to be good at what you’re doing and to give a good product.

 

Q: What skills or characteristics do you think your job requires?
A: Good work ethic. ….. That’s about it really. Anybody can do what we do as long as you have a good work ethic and drive. You can do anything you want to do as long as you have the work ethic.

 

Q: What do you like about working in the landscaping industry?

A: Being outdoors.

 

Q: What advice would you give someone who’s looking to get into our industry?

A: Educate yourself.
